Crowd Sings "God Bless America" An Hour Before Las Vegas Shooting

"While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,

Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free.

Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,

As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:

God bless America, land that I love,

Stand beside her and guide her

Through the night with a light from above.

From the mountains, to the prairies,

To the oceans white with foam,

God bless America,

My home sweet home."

-Irving Berlin

The whole of it is surreal.

In the midst of a national rage over those who won't stand for our National Anthem in today's modern coliseums, and with an uncapped pyramid and an obelisk as a backdrop, reminding us of ancient Egypt, a country western band not known for singing hymns, but "God Bless America" is as close to a national hymn as America has, lead 22,000 American's in that very hymn an hour before the murderous shots began to ring out in their own demonic chorus.

I keep hearing that nothing makes sense about what has happened.  People are still trying to understand the motive, forgetting that murder is a senseless act, no matter the excuse.

The murderers brother said that his brother is not affiliated with any religion, as if secular humanism or atheism are not religions and don't kill and murder every day of the week for millennia.

The liberals scream gun control.  This must stop they tell us.

The amazing thing to me is there hasn't been more massacres in the times we live in.  It's not the guns that is the problem, it's what is inside of men.  Here the Apostle James:

"From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not." - James 4:1-2

But a few verses later, James provide the solution for the "lusts that war in your members", that this old world wants nothing to do with:

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up."
