Pelosi: GOP Better Not “Play Games” With Defunding Planned Parenthood…

(CNSNews.com) – Saying it was not worth discussing the endless “horrors” Republicans could come up with until they actually presented their next proposal for a continuing resolution, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) refused to speculate on how she would react if Republicans proposed prohibiting funding of Planned Parenthood in the bill that needs to be passed to fund the government after the fiscal year ends next Friday.
“Let’s hope that they’re not playing games with us–and now we are getting into games,” Pelosi said, when asked by CNSNews.com how committed she would be to stopping a provision to defund of Planned Parenthood.
“Why don’t we come back and have another press conference after they say what they are going to do,” said Pelosi. “Because I think it’s a waste of your time and my time to speculate on the horrors that they could come up with–because we know they are endless and we could be here a long time.
“So why don’t we just say this: We wish them the best,” said Pelosi. “We understand that when you need to get 218 votes you have to count on your own side of the aisle to do that if you don’t want to do it in a bipartisan way.”
