41K outraged #protectjamesyounger tweets after jury rules dad can’t save son from ‘transition’
The judge presiding over a man’s attempt to save his son from being “transitioned” will read her final ruling on the case tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, the case has exploded on social media, generating tens of thousands of tweets demanding that authorities respect Mr. Jeffrey Younger's right to protect his son from a harmful gender transition.
A Dallas jury reached its verdict yesterday, ruling 11-1 against Mr. Younger in his fight against his ex-wife, Dr. Anna Georgulas, who is encouraging their son to "transition" to become a girl. Judge Kim Cooks will rule on the specifics of the order as well as Dr. Georgulas’s additional requests.
On Monday, the Dallas jury was asked two questions after hearing a week’s worth of testimony from both Dr. Georgulas’s and Mr. Younger’s witnesses:
1) Should the current joint managing conservatorship (i.e., joint custody of the Younger boys) be replaced by a sole managing conservatorship?
2) If yes to number one, should Mr. Younger be granted sole managing conservatorship?
The jury decided the current arrangement should be changed to sole managing conservator, but that
Mr. Younger should not be that individual.
Since Mr. Younger requested a jury trial, but Dr. Georgulas did not, the jury decided only on Mr. Younger’s requests, not Dr. Georgulas’s.
News of the jury's surprise decision was met with swift public outrage. Matt Walsh, the conservative writer and speaker at The Daily Wire, has been tweeting about the ruling and started the hashtag #protectjamesyounger. The hashtag is currently trending and in the space of less than a day has over 41,000 tweets, as of the writing of this article.

Robby Starbuck, a director and producer, posted screenshots showing Twitter’s suppression of the hashtag. The first photo shows the number of tweets using the hashtag, and the second shows the exclusion of the hashtag in searches.
